Cruella's First So Called "Supervised Visit" (Part 1)

Judge Johnson had ordered supervised visitation to begin and that the visits were to be supervised by Cruella's sister Dizzie. The visits would take place at Dizzie's house on alternating weekends and would include both a Saturday and a Sunday visit of at least 4 hours each day. The first two visits were scheduled for 9:00 am to 9:00 pm since Cruella had not seen the children at all in over a month.

It was August 27, 2005; Cruella's very first visit with the children since our court case began one month prior. I arrived at Dizzie's house at 9:00 am sharp to drop off Sam, Daisy and Princess. Rocco had also just arrived also to drop off Lilly. Cruella immediately picked up Princess, hugging and kissing her as Sam and Daisy stood there watching and waiting for some type of recognition from their mother while Lilly barely acknowledged Cruella as she walked right past her and into the house. Cruella then turned to me with Princess still in her arms and started shouting " I need money! You left me homeless and penniless and now I'm on fucking welfare! We're taking these kids to the fair today and I have no fucking money!" I told her to try to control herself in front of the children and called Dizzie over to my truck. I asked her to please pay attention to everything that goes on and to everything that Cruella says to the kids. She assured me that she would and that if Cruella got out of line to the point that she couldn't control her, she would call me to come get the kids. I handed Dizzie a hundred dollars with instructions that it was for the children not Cruella and I left.

I met Rocco and his wife Erin for breakfast at the local diner. I told them that I had a bad feeling about this visit and that I didn't trust Dizzie. I kept myself occupied for the day. I got some work done, went grocery shopping and picked up school supplies for the kids. I couldn't shake that "bad feeling" though. I spoke with Rocco and my sister in law Mary a few times throughout the day. Neither of them had heard from Dizzie and hoped that meant everything was going alright. At about 8:50 pm I called Dizzie's cell phone to let her know that I was on my way to her house to pick up the kids. I got her voice mail and left a message asking her to either have Cruella leave prior to my arrival or keep her in the house to avoid any type of unnecessary confrontation. I called her house phone and her husbands cell phone also. Dizzie never returned my call. When I arrived at her house, no one was there. I called Rocco. He told me that Dizzie had just left him a message telling him not to go to her house to pick up Lilly and that instead Dizzie would meet Rocco somewhere else in order to drop Lilly off. When I asked him what the hell was going on and where were my kids, he didn't know and told me that he'd call me back as soon as he spoke to Dizzie. I was beginning to "lose it" and called the police.

Little Ones

I wrote this almost three years ago, not too long after Cruella and I split up. The kids seemed to be more relaxed and actually happy that she was gone which, to a certain extent, concerned me. Sometimes it feels like a lifetime ago and other times it feels like yesterday. We've come a long way since then, but I still worry about them and I guess I always will.

Little Ones

Lord, I thank you for my children…

These little ones I keep…

They make me laugh…

They make me cry…

They wake me when I sleep.

They are such a precious gift from you…

My words cannot explain…

How I can feel…

Their anger…

Their pleasure…

And their pain.

I need your help to mold them…

Teach them…

Help them grow.

Please don’t let me fail them…

They need me…

As you know.

I hope you don't mind me getting a little "mushy" every once in a while. We'll get back to the horror stories real soon I promise!

I Woke Up Ms. Sleepy!

As I stated in my last post, "Let's Talk About The Law Guardian" it has been extremely difficult to invoke any type of response from her office. Although my case has already been settled (Oh...the stories I have about getting to that point) Ms. Sleepy was left on the case for one year from the date of settlement,which is rapidly approaching. The allegations of sexual abuse against Snake did not come to light until months after the settlement.

According to my Order of Custody and Visitation, once Cruella secures suitable housing, which she did in January of this year, (thanks to our tax dollars) her bi-weekly Saturday and Sunday daytime visits graduate to Friday night to Sunday night full weekend visits and Snake lives in the house with her. With unsupervised, overnight visits for Cruella with the children lurking around the corner; I'm sure that you can only imagine my frustration.

This is the last letter that I wrote to Ms. Sleepy and "low and behold", I got a response!

In re: Sam, Daisey and Princess

Dear Ms. Sleepy:

I must say that I am quite disappointed that I still have not heard back from your office regarding my most recent letter to you (dated 1/31/08). A copy of same is attached for your review. I am sure that you are very busy and I intend no disrespect, however my children’s welfare and safety are at risk. Please be advised of the following:

• On Thursday night, 1/31/08 Snake was questioned by investigators Columbo and Caine.
• Snake actually admitted to a portion of the allegations made against him by his sister Lilly.
• The investigators believe that he would have admitted to more; however the interview was interrupted by a frantic phone call from Cruella instructing Snake to stop talking.
• The next day an anonymous report was filed with CPS stating that Rocco “smokes crack in front of his daughter Lilly”. (a blatant lie)
• As I’m sure that you are aware, CPS must investigate all reports. The CPS investigator handling this case is Eliza Tumee.
• I spoke at length with Ms. Tumee about the background of my case and Rocco’s and expressed to her that I am 100 percent sure that this is yet another one of Cruella’s retaliatory, fraudulent reports.

Everyone that I have spoken to, both personally and professionally is in agreement with me in that my children should not be exposed to Snake at all and most certainly not overnight. I expect that as my children’s Law Guardian, you will be looking into all of this and help me to protect my children. Cruella is not a stable person and will stop at nothing to cover up the truth including exposing my children to an admitted sexual deviant and known drug abuser. If Cruella is to continue her visitation with the children, I need to see the proof that she is maintaining her therapy and medications as per the Court Order. This is my second request. Please forward to me immediately any and all written documentation from her doctor confirming her compliance with the Court Order. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

The short response: Cruella still has visitation but no "overnights" until all of this is resolved. Oh...and she's not allowed to leave the kids alone with Snake anymore either!
