The Abyss of Loneliness

I haven't shared any creative writing or poetry in a while... so i thought I'd share one :-)

I wrote this several months ago now when I was feeling a bit lonely as I think we all sometimes do. It's kinda funny how you can be surrounded by people who love and support you and yet still feel all alone sometimes.

And; NO this was not inspired by Cruella ;-)

The Abyss of Loneliness

The silence deafens me as I stare into the abyss...

the abyss of loneliness...

It beckons me with voices and visions from the past...

At last...

my dulled senses begin to burn with the pain of loss...

my cross...

I grasp for the illusions created in my mind and in my soul...

the hole...

I fall into the abyss... the abyss of loneliness

  1. I whole heartedly relate to the lonely in spite of being surrounded by so many. Sometimes I imagine it's when I've abandoned myself- that I get lonely- if that makes any sense.

Short but poignantly written. As well as nice to read in comparison to the "dastardly deeds of said ex."

  2. Hey, I recognize this one from the BAforums. Simple yet descriptive enough to paint a picture. I picture some guy sitting in some dark room with a cross around his neck. Dazed out staring into the darkness thinking about a different time. Maybe a bottle of jack daniels hanging loosely out of his hand with a low gloom of a lamp from a small coffee table by his side.

  3. Thanks for the comment Brazen... I like to try to mix things up a bit... and yeah... what you said does make sense... friends come and go... therefore we always need to be able to rely on ourselves first...so if you lose yourself... effectively... you lose your best friend.

And fly boy... yeah you pretty much got the picture ... but I'm a vodka man myself ;-) and "my cross" is also meant to be symbolic as in...the pain of loss is my cross to bear...

    Thanks dude...I appreciate your feedback

  7. Whoa. Talk about deep and totally heartfelt! I'm right there with you in somehow feeling alone even when you're surrounded by people that love you... and I LOVED Armando's interpretation of it...

  11. “In short, this class is exactly what my wife and I needed. We needed a community of other married couples fighting to have sweet and adventure marriages for support… Before United Marriage, it was easier to point the finger at my husband   as the issue. Through each assessment of the course, I have gotten more comfortable accepting my flaws and communicating them to my husband   which has led to greater vulnerability in my marriage. My husband   has also grown more comfortable expressing his challenges in our marriage as well… It has shown me that good marriages require a lot of work and that nothing happens by osmosis. That’s why love spell has become a helper in our marriage which is possibly our biggest victory, before our successful marriage we had separated several times then I come across Dr Itua love spell which has really helped me get my husband back to my life, Dr Itua helped me with love spell when my marriage was going insane when my husband was having an affair outside but with the help of Dr Itua love spell I and My husband   are now happy, every day in our life is now a happy moment and we just have our third child Lori, I thank Dr itua for his help so if you are here facing hard time on relationship or marriage then this testimony is for you to contact Dr Itua for a help to keep your marriage or relationship Dr Itua contact, drituaherbalcenter@gmail.com Then what's app +2348149277967
