Cruella's First So Called "Supervised Visit" (Part 3 The Dramatic Conclusion)

It was well after midnight when we all arrived at the police station. My dad had followed me there. I had asked the officer in charge to please allow my dad to bring the children home, however that was not allowed so instead they slept in his car while I sat inside in the waiting room as Cruella, her brother Dilbert and Big Cruella were brought inside for questioning. Needless to say, I was pretty pissed-off and paced back and forth in the lobby for over an hour awaiting my turn to speak.

Well my turn never came. At 1:35 am officer Jack Meoff emerged from the interrogation room to tell me, and i quote, "Your not going to like what I have to say here, but my hands are tied." "What now." I replied. " Well, unfortunately, I'm going to have to arrest you," he says. "Arrest me!?... for what!??" I exclaimed in complete and utter disbelief. " I have an Order of Protection and Visitation Order which clearly state that my children were to be returned to me at 9:00 pm and that she was to be supervised at all times! When I arrived at the hospital, it was almost 10:30 pm and she was attempting to leave with my children and her sister, the supposed supervisor was long gone! As far as I'm concerned they should both be arrested!" I retorted.

He then proceeded to explain to me that she did not violate her orders because she and Dizzie were in contact with the police all day. Apparently, shortly after I had dropped them off they took Princess to the hospital and left the other three at Dizzie's house with Uncle Woodchuck. He told me that they had made some very serious accusations against me that had to be taken seriously. He did not want to specifically tell me that they alleged that I was sexually abusing my then 3 year old daughter and that they put her through an internal exam, sexual abuse testing and called Child Protective Services. He did however tell me that all of the allegations were disproved and CPS determined that I should retain custody and could now send the children home with my father but I would have to spend the night in jail because Cruella also had an Order of Protection against me. My order against her was 4 pages long and a complete "stay away" while her's against me was purely retaliatory and one sentence long. It simply stated that I could not threaten, harass, stalk or intimidate her.

"Well," says officer Jack, "When you blocked her in like that at the hospital, she claims she felt intimidated." "Are you fucking kidding me!" is exactly what I said. He then proceeded to stroke me some more telling me how bad he felt about all of this and how it was plain as day that Cruella was off her rocker, but because she stated that she felt intimidated, I had to be arrested. He can't tell someone that they're lying in respect to they're "feelings." So, he was a swell enough guy to escort me outside to tell my father that I was being aressted and that he could now go home with my children. I won't even get into the choice words that he has for officer Jack and the town police. So at almost 2:00am my dad left with the kids and I was arrested for harassment, got processed and thrown into a jail cell.

At 8:00 am the following morning I was arraigned and R.O.R.'d. I was due back in court the following week and now had to deal with the fact that in one hour was Cruella's next scheduled visit and as long as Dizzie still intended on supervising, I had to not only allow it but get them there or face being charged with obstruction of Cruella's visitation schedule. I called my sister in law Mary, Cruella's brother Luke's wife. I explained everything that had happened. She was dumbfounded and told me that she would see if maybe Luke could talk Dizzie out of supervising anymore visits. I thanked her and told her that I hoped that he would be successful because there was no way on God's geen earth that I was going to allow it anyway, order or no order.

Well, Luke came through for me! Not only did he get Dizzie to say she would not supervise anymore visits; he got it in writing and was pulling out of Dizzie's driveway just as Cruella was pulling in. I can only imagine the chaos that ensued when Cruella got up to the house. I went and got my kids, who amazingly enough were relatively un-phased by the whole ordeal. It's both amazing and scary what you can get used to!

So as not to leave you hangin' too much... The harassment charges were thrown out (after three appearances and another $1,500.00 in legal fees of course) and... for the next month Cruella had no visitation and then for the following three months she got 1 hour every Saturday, professionally supervised in a room at the Court House.

She had not seen her children in over a month and when she was given her opportunity, this is what she did with it! I think that night in jail is when I realized just how truly sick she really is and just how deep the rabbit hole goes!

Cruella's First So Called "Supervised Visit" (Part 2)

Officer Elwood answered the phone. I gave him my name and began to explain my situation. He interrupted me saying " Hold on, I think I know something about this." He put me on hold for what seemed like an hour. When he got back on the phone with me he said, " Yeah, they're at the hospital, something about a urinary tract infection, Dizzie says she'll call you." When I tried to get more information from good ole' Elwood, he said, "I don't have time for this, I've got an emergency I'm dealing with right now" and he hung up on me! Now I was wild! I drove straight to the police station. On the way I called my sister-in-law Mary. When I told her what was going on she said "Oh my God, she's claiming abuse. What hospital is she at?" I told her that I didn't know and that I would call her back because I was just pulling in to the police station. I entered the tiny front waiting room. There was an officer behind the glass on the phone. I was not my usual polite self and shouted, " Are you Elwood!?" He looks up at me and says, "Yeah, you must be RG, I told you I've got an emergency. Take a seat and I'll get an officer to talk to you in a few minutes." I said. " I have an emergency! Where are my fucking kids!? He tells me to calm down and take a seat. There was no way I could sit still. I went outside and called my dad and now he was telling me to calm down. "You should have known she'd pull some kind of shit" he says. While I was on the phone with my dad, Rocco called through twice. The first time he told me.. "Dizzie called. I'm meeting her at Joe's Deli to get Lilly. She wouldn't tell me anything but I'll find out when I get there, if I have to beat it out of her." When he called back the second time he said, "Dizzie left Cruella alone with the kids at Our Town Hospital Center and you better get there quick because she's making some pretty serious accusations."

I headed for the hospital at warp speed! As I was pulling in the main entrance, Cruella was attempting to leave. She was headed straight at me with the head lights off. She tried to get around me, but when I wouldn't let her pass she threw it into reverse and started flying around the side of the hospital backwards. I stuck with her, nose to nose and when she attempted to spin around in front of the emergency room entrance, I cut her off, blocked her in and dialed 911 on my cell phone. Some hospital personnel came out telling me to move my truck. I told them while pointing to Cruella, "She's trying to kidnap my kids, get a cop out her now! It wasn't long before there were cops everywhere. What a fiasco! I never got out my truck at all. An officer took my keys and asked me what was going on. I explained and handed him my order of protection and visitation order. After quite some time the kids were finally transferred back to me and the officer told me, "we need everybody to come down to the station so we can figure this out. It was almost midnight at this point. I said "Are you kidding me?? What is there to figure out?? I handed you the orders an hour ago. Let me take my kids home. This is ridiculous!"

Well, down to the station we went! Don't miss the dramatic conclusion coming real soon!

Cruella's First So Called "Supervised Visit" (Part 1)

Judge Johnson had ordered supervised visitation to begin and that the visits were to be supervised by Cruella's sister Dizzie. The visits would take place at Dizzie's house on alternating weekends and would include both a Saturday and a Sunday visit of at least 4 hours each day. The first two visits were scheduled for 9:00 am to 9:00 pm since Cruella had not seen the children at all in over a month.

It was August 27, 2005; Cruella's very first visit with the children since our court case began one month prior. I arrived at Dizzie's house at 9:00 am sharp to drop off Sam, Daisy and Princess. Rocco had also just arrived also to drop off Lilly. Cruella immediately picked up Princess, hugging and kissing her as Sam and Daisy stood there watching and waiting for some type of recognition from their mother while Lilly barely acknowledged Cruella as she walked right past her and into the house. Cruella then turned to me with Princess still in her arms and started shouting " I need money! You left me homeless and penniless and now I'm on fucking welfare! We're taking these kids to the fair today and I have no fucking money!" I told her to try to control herself in front of the children and called Dizzie over to my truck. I asked her to please pay attention to everything that goes on and to everything that Cruella says to the kids. She assured me that she would and that if Cruella got out of line to the point that she couldn't control her, she would call me to come get the kids. I handed Dizzie a hundred dollars with instructions that it was for the children not Cruella and I left.

I met Rocco and his wife Erin for breakfast at the local diner. I told them that I had a bad feeling about this visit and that I didn't trust Dizzie. I kept myself occupied for the day. I got some work done, went grocery shopping and picked up school supplies for the kids. I couldn't shake that "bad feeling" though. I spoke with Rocco and my sister in law Mary a few times throughout the day. Neither of them had heard from Dizzie and hoped that meant everything was going alright. At about 8:50 pm I called Dizzie's cell phone to let her know that I was on my way to her house to pick up the kids. I got her voice mail and left a message asking her to either have Cruella leave prior to my arrival or keep her in the house to avoid any type of unnecessary confrontation. I called her house phone and her husbands cell phone also. Dizzie never returned my call. When I arrived at her house, no one was there. I called Rocco. He told me that Dizzie had just left him a message telling him not to go to her house to pick up Lilly and that instead Dizzie would meet Rocco somewhere else in order to drop Lilly off. When I asked him what the hell was going on and where were my kids, he didn't know and told me that he'd call me back as soon as he spoke to Dizzie. I was beginning to "lose it" and called the police.

Little Ones

I wrote this almost three years ago, not too long after Cruella and I split up. The kids seemed to be more relaxed and actually happy that she was gone which, to a certain extent, concerned me. Sometimes it feels like a lifetime ago and other times it feels like yesterday. We've come a long way since then, but I still worry about them and I guess I always will.

Little Ones

Lord, I thank you for my children…

These little ones I keep…

They make me laugh…

They make me cry…

They wake me when I sleep.

They are such a precious gift from you…

My words cannot explain…

How I can feel…

Their anger…

Their pleasure…

And their pain.

I need your help to mold them…

Teach them…

Help them grow.

Please don’t let me fail them…

They need me…

As you know.

I hope you don't mind me getting a little "mushy" every once in a while. We'll get back to the horror stories real soon I promise!
